Riding my bicycle for my daily needs I need to save time and secure my bicycle. I have been looking for some lightweight locks, but I also like to have a lock that is quick, secure, easy to carry and fashionable. It needs to be discreet and fast to unlock.
Fun colorful looks strong but not for me I don’t want to be scared every time I unlock my bike.
This is a cute idea and love the green eco vibe. I don’t know how strong it is. Looks like it could get cut very quickly with cutters. No, too biological organicy for me
Going along with the bicycle green love, this is really cute too
I Believe I would look like the Snow White approaching my bike with these birds
Love the discreteness of this lock comes out of the handle, but I don’t want to jump rope with it.
Need to lock up er look up
Too many pieces but cool
My favourite and comes in pink
Have fun finding your ideal lock
Ciclovia originated in Bogota Columbia literally “bike path” in Spanish. Every Sunday and Holidays streets are blocked off to cars.
Bicycles, walkers, skaters, people take over the streets to enjoy it in safety. It really has a festive feel to it. Aerobic stations, musicians, food line the parks and streets. Very welcoming to all age groups and abilities.
http://www.ciclavia.org “CicLAvia makes the streets safe for people to walk, skate, play and ride a bike” I like the play on the letters Ciclovia to CicLAvia for Los Angeles.
The philosophy is for all ages to participate in physical activity and promote a healthy and active lifestyle.
Ciclovia is very popular in North America. Does your town have one?
Ride a bicycle it’s fun, some short videos, they are all very good, enjoy
Beautiful bicycle art I hope it inspires you to ride a bicycle
I have to ride my bicycle in the rain too. I have no car, and use my bike every day for my daily needs. As much as I enjoy riding my bicycle it is harder in the rain.
Here are some cool fun fashions and accessories to make bicycling in the rain more efficient and fun.
Safety First you need a good strong light just like cars you need to be seen. I enjoy style, charm, chicness, fun, functionality all in one. This light has it all. You can find it at http://store.imaginechildhood.com/classicbikeheadlamp.aspx.
Fenders are a must for bicycling in the rain. I do not like to see a mud line on the back of my clothes. There are so many fenders to choose from. The mudflaps add extra protection and are just so cute. They will dress up any bike.
My favourite band Pink Martini lent there music to a vimeo for Haute Reflecture Designs by SZC for Vespertine. Love the safety features of this trench coat as well as the music of course.
Capes are very handy to wear and they come in all styles and fabrics. I came across Cleverhood I really like the colours, cut and fabrics and versatility of their capes.
Some of their fashion from their vimeo http://vimeo.com/49247291
Keeping feet dry is also important. Check out these boot covers, slip on slip off and your footwear is still dry.
The accessories and fashions are endless. Gloves, bells, baskets, helmets. Or you can do what the Dutch do – use an umbrella. Check out this rush hour dark raining video. It is also amazing to see the bikes with lights and how much easier it is to see them.
